Exercise to Lose Weight


What is the best exercise to lose weight? This is a common question that many dieters ask. To be completely honest there is no one perfect exercise to help you loose weight. While there are many theories on what ones work better (walking, jogging, biking, swimming, weight training) the truth is that the best exercise is the one that will relax you and make you feel good.

Many people believe that walking or jogging is the best weight loss exercise. But if you don’t enjoy walking because it makes you feel bad about yourself or makes you feel pain, then you might want to try swimming. If there isn’t a warm body of water or a pool near you, or maybe you don’t want to wear a bathing suit, then you may want to try out biking. And biking does not mean that you need to get a Lance Armstrong type of bike, you can just buy a nice beach cruiser or mountain bike and go on a leisurely ride.

Not any good areas to ride a bike in your neighborhood? Try out Yoga or Pilates . You can join a guy or class, or just pick up a video at your local store and do it in the comfort of your own home. Other great exercises you can try out are stair masters, or any other aerobic exercise for that matter, or weight lifting. Weight lifting has many advantages. Because you will be building muscle you will be burning more fat, even when you are just sitting and watching television. You will also be building a strong lean sexy body. And you don’t need to go to a guy to build muscle, you can go out and buy a pair of dumbbells and do a few curls and lunges at home.

As you can see there is no one workout or exercise that works for everyone. The key is to find something that makes you feel comfortable. Once you feel comfortable with that exercise you will be more likely to keep doing it. If you keep doing it on a regular basis then you will start feeling better about your body and eventually you will feel more comfortable branching out to other types of exercises. Sooner than you know it you will have the nice body you have been dreaming about and you will feel more confident and comfortable with yourself. The key is finding that one exercise that makes you feel good, everything after that will just fall into place.
